Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later worked as the morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter for WCBD-TV. Her articles from Charleston on how Charleston police acted in DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter instruction for the state's authorities. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. After her time in Charleston O'Dell worked as a co-anchor and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. In addition to her current work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and in addition for Dateline NBC.
