Toni Collette is an Australian actress who shot to fame in the comedy-drama film Muriel's Wedding in 1994 and was later recognized with the thriller mystery The Sixth Sense . Since then, the actress has worked in numerous films, including The Hours, Japanese Story, About a Boy, Little Miss Sunshine, The Way, Way Back, Knives Out and Hereditary. Her work on television in United States of Tara, Wanderlust and the miniseries Unbelievable has brought many accolades. Toni Collette's stage credits include Uncle Vanya, King Lear and TV. In 2000, Toni Collette had her Broadway debut in The Wild Party. The town she grew up in, Falls Church is where she spent the majority of her childhood. She has always been interested in acting and arts started as a child, studying dance art in the Washington School of Ballet. The beginning of her dancing career was extremely successful as she appeared in several school plays. As she graduated from high school, she took part in every musical staged by her school. This is how she started acting and stopped dancing. After graduating, Louisa attended Carnegie Mellon University. There she was a drama student. But she didn't get the degree she wanted as she left after only two semesters in order to focus on acting. Louisa was born into the family of four. Lida Jean Wright is American. Her father Robert Henry Krause had half Japanese origins. Her younger brother is called Nathaniel Krause who is a director at a company that makes movies. She enjoys spending in her spare time grilling out and taking family trips. She feels very emotionally attached with her brother, and is even buying his a home close to her in order to see each other more often. Louisa Krause's career At beginning of her professional life, she wasn't acting for cash but rather to get noticed by major film studios that proved an effective strategy. In a Dark Dark House (2007) the actress was one of the stars in the off-Broadway play Les Liaisons Dangereuses. At the end of 2007, she began her film acting career as a supporting actress in Babysitter as well as The Speed of Life. Then, she took a two-year vacation from acting and then appeared in the movies Taking Woodstock & Toe to Toe. After that, for the next 2 years she concentrated on making short films. Also, she is well-known for her films. She was nominated as an actor in the highly coveted Golden Globe Award in The Girlfriend Experience in which she portrayed Anna Garner.
